At Camille Colette Studio, everything starts with a simple idea: to create jewelry that lasts. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings... each piece is designed to stay with you for a long time. For us, fashion jewelry must go hand in hand with quality. Even before creation in our Bordeaux workshop, the selection of raw materials is therefore essential. Here's an overview of what forms the basis of our expertise.
Gold filled: the alternative to solid gold
The majority of our jewelry is made from 14 carat gold-filled wire. This alloy is a qualitative and more accessible option than solid gold. It is water-resistant: you can swim or shower with it without worrying about it getting damaged. With proper care, your jewelry can last for years.
Our gold-filled material largely comes from recycled gold. It is our main material, guaranteeing the quality of our creations.
We also think of lovers of silver jewelry. Some pieces are made of 925 sterling silver, alone or combined with gold-filled. This alloy contains 92.5% pure silver (hence the 925 mark) and 7.5% of another metal, usually copper. This mixture makes it more malleable and resistant, and it is the only composition that allows a piece of jewelry to be called "silver".
We chose it for its strength, durability, and comfort: it is hypoallergenic and easy to maintain. It meets all our criteria.
Natural stones: our touch of color
Finally, many of our jewels are set with natural or semi-precious stones. They bring that touch of color that is an integral part of the Camille Colette Studio DNA. These stones come from Asia.
Rhodonite
Rhodonite is a pink stone with cloudy nuances. In lithotherapy, it is associated with the heart chakra and symbolizes love and affection. In antiquity, it was offered as a token of friendship. It is also believed to have benefits for romantic relationships, promoting positive energies in couples. Rhodonite is also recognized for calming anxiety and reducing stress.
Amethyst
Amethyst is a quartz crystal characterized by its shades of violet, ranging from lightest to deepest, sometimes even within a single stone. In lithotherapy, it is considered one of the most powerful stones for protection against negative energies. It is credited with soothing and purifying virtues; it is believed to be beneficial for the mind and to help restore balance and serenity.
Tiger's Eye
Tiger's Eye is a stone with a mysterious name and captivating reflections, to which many virtues are attributed. Formerly worn by warriors and soldiers, it was used as a protective stone, providing strength and courage. This reading will allow you to discover the origin of its benefits and its various advantages for the body, heart, and spirit.
Green Jasper
In mythology, Green Jasper was associated with deities of nature and fertility. It was believed to have the power to support crop growth and attract prosperity. It was also recognized for its soothing properties, promoting inner peace and reconciliation.
Dalmatian Jasper
Recognized since Antiquity by the Greeks and Egyptians for its protective properties against negative energies, this stone was used to create talismans and statuettes intended to ward off negativity and repel malevolent entities. Dalmatian Jasper is distinguished by its unique appearance, evoking an abstract painting: a clear base punctuated with black and beige spots, reminiscent of the dog's coat from which it gets its name. Both a jewelry stone and a lithotherapy stone, this gem reveals many qualities.
Lapis Lazuli
Lapis lazuli takes its name from the Latin "lapis" ("stone") and the Arabic "azul" ("blue"). This stone is particularly appreciated for its deep blue color. Many virtues are attributed to it: it is said to boost self-confidence, encourage communication, and foster friendly and romantic relationships. It is also believed to help restore balance, creativity, joy of life, and dynamism.
Aventurine
Aventurine is a variety of quartz recognizable by its slightly translucent green hue. It contains mineral or metallic inclusions that vary its shades. It is attributed with virtues of introspection and prosperity; it is believed to promote positive solutions and overall well-being. Considered a stone of inner peace, it also encourages open-mindedness.
Freshwater pearls: as unique as our creations
Freshwater pearls originate from the inner lining of certain shells. Widely used in jewelry, they are prized for their iridescent reflections which make them unique and precious. Their shades vary from white to pink, but also to grey or black. It is a solid and durable material, whose composition allows it to resist pressure and shocks. Timeless and elegant, freshwater pearls are also hypoallergenic, an ideal quality for jewelry making.
Glass: a historic material in jewelry
Glass is a material present in our daily lives, found on tables as well as in our windows. However, it was once widely used in jewelry. A glass bead is waterproof, solid, durable, and hypoallergenic, ideal qualities for creating jewelry. At Camille Colette Studio, we have chosen to restore it to this primary function. With proper care, our glass pieces can accompany you for many years.
All these materials perfectly meet the requirements of Camille Colette Studio, combining strength, resistance, and durability. They are fully part of our brand's DNA. If you are looking for unique and distinctive jewelry, inspired by the sea and colors, our creations are made for you.
